My name is Christine Smith (formerly, Sutton) and I am the School Counselor at Aurora Academy. This is my 12th year as the counselor at Aurora Academy, and my 9th year as an Aurora Academy parent. We live in Green Valley Ranch and we have two daughters and one son; first year in college, eighth grade and second grade.

 I earned my undergraduate and graduate degree with a credential in Educational Counseling from Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. 3 years of my educational counseling experience was in Pomona and Baldwin Park California, at primary, middle and secondary school levels. I also have teaching experience in a charter school in Colorado Springs.

I strive to encourage pro-social behavior, academic success and positive emotional development by building relationships with students and families, collaborating with the teachers, administration, and other staff members to support the success of Aurora Academy students. I am very proud of our inclusive Aurora Academy community and the positive school culture that we have cultivated, and celebrate each day!
