Mrs. Fischbach ("Fish-back")

Hi there!

My name is Stephanie Fischbach, and I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to attend Colorado State University, and while there, received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Education.  I graduated in 2006, and immediately began teaching middle school at a charter school in Parker that same year.  This past July, I graduated summa cum laude, from Ball State University, with my Master of Arts in Educational Psychology with a certificate in Neuropsychology.  I'm fascinated by the brain and how it develops and changes over different life stages, as well as how it's impacted by different environmental factors specific to education.

I currently live near Southlands in Aurora with my husband, Eric; my thirteen-year-old son, Joe; my nine-year-old daughter, Katelyn; my nine-year-old step-son, Blake; and my six-year-old son, Owen; as well as our 4 dogs (Baxter, a Havachon; Rocky, a Golden Retriever; Dakota, a Siberian Husky; & Maverick, a Mini American Shepherd) and 4 cats (Milo, Arya, Niko, & Maggie--all DSH tabbies)!  PHEW!

This will be my thirteenth year of teaching middle school and my third year here at Aurora Academy!  I look forward to working with you and your student(s) this year to make this the best year ever!
