Hello! This is going to be an amazing year, and we are looking forward to getting to know each and every one of you and share our love of learning with you. Let's go 5th Grade!
Our goal for 5th grade is to work together to improve students' academic performance and to instill students with intrinsic motivation to learn. We aim to develop well-rounded students: including physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally.  We will help develop thinking skills and promote good mental health in students.  We want to create a classroom full of lifelong learners.

We are the 5th Grade team. Allow us to introduce ourselves.

Miss Byrne-Quinn
I am Miss Byrne-Quinn or more commonly called Miss B-Q. I am excited to be teaching 5th Grade again this year.  I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and completed my undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. This will be my third year at Aurora Academy, where I have been both a Reading Interventionist and a classroom teacher.  After school, I also coach volleyball for both boys and girls.
I love singing, movies, and all sports. I've always loved the outdoors and adventures. My favorite place I have been is Glacier National Park in Montana.

Ms. Reed
Hello! I’m Ms. Reed. This is my 8th year of teaching and my 6th year teaching at Aurora Academy.  I love our school! I especially enjoy getting to know students and their families, and learning about all of the wonderful backgrounds and traditions that you each bring to our school .

I graduated from Metro State University of Denver in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science. In 2012 I went back to MSUD to get my teaching degree.

I love: Gardening, reading (especially Harry Potter), and coffee.

Miss Coxall

Hi!  I am Miss Coxall.  This will be my 8th year teaching and 7th year at Aurora Academy! I have taught 3rd and 4th grade the past 7 years and am excited to teach 5th grade this year.   I have a masters degree in teaching from University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Human Services from Metro State University. I am a Colorado native and enjoy all of the wonderful things our state has to offer, such as hiking, camping, snowboarding, paddle boarding, riding my bike, and just being outside.  I have a 5 year old, yellow lab, named Hank, who gets to join me on my adventures.  I am thrilled to be here and am excited to get to know you all!
