Grievance

Our Commitment to You:

Aurora Academy Charter School is committed to providing all students with a safe, supportive, and equitable learning environment.
If you have a concern or complaint related to your child's education or treatment, please know that we take these matters seriously.

Informal Grievance - Step One:

In accordance with the Parent/Student Handbook, we ask parents to adhere to our resolution procedure.

If the challenge is with a staff member (ie. teacher, classroom para, lunch para, etc.), we encourage you to first speak with that staff member.

Informal Grievance - Step Two:

Please meet with the staff’s direct supervisor if no agreement is achieved. Should a resolution require additional support, we encourage a discussion with the principal.

Formal Grievance:

You may file a formal grievance if you cannot resolve the issue informally. Please complete the designated grievance form.

Your grievance should include a clear and detailed description of the issue and any supporting documentation.

By submitting this grievance form, you acknowledge that you will maintain respect towards all parties involved.

Investigation and Resolution:

The Grievance Committee will review your complaint and gather information from all relevant parties. Our goal is to resolve the grievance promptly and fairly.

Our decision-making process is guided by the evidence presented, our school policies, and our unwavering commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook for more information on school policies and procedures.

If you have any questions about the grievance process, please do not hesitate to contact the Grievance Committee at grievance@auroraacademycharter.com
