My name is Michelle Starkey and I teach physical education to kindergarten through eighth grade. I have been teaching at Aurora Academy since 2017 and I am looking forward to the 2023-2024 school year.

Physical education is an academic subject and serves as the foundation of a Comprehensive School Physical Activity Program (CSPAP) and, as such, demands the same education rigor as other core subjects. Physical education provides students with a planned, sequential, K-12 standards-based program of curricula and instruction designed to develop motor skills, knowledge and behaviors for active living, physical fitness, sportsmanship, self-efficacy and emotional intelligence.
