Our open houses are free and open to the public. Families will hear a brief welcome from school leadership, then enjoy a guided opportunity to explore classrooms, meet teachers, and see Aurora Academy in action during the school day.
Aurora Academy Charter School, founded in 2000 as the first charter school in the Aurora Public School District, is a high-performing K-8 public charter school known for its strong academic results and commitment to helping students Expect More, Achieve More.
What to Expect
8:15 AM: Welcome & School Overview
We’ll begin with a short introduction to Aurora Academy’s mission, academic model, and what makes our school a strong choice for families seeking a rigorous and rewarding K-8 experience.
8:45 AM: Classroom Walkthroughs
Visit classrooms across grade levels to see our research-based curriculum in action, including reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. Meet teachers and observe how students engage in meaningful, purposeful learning.
Ongoing: Ask Questions & Connect
Learn more about enrollment, curriculum, student support, Specials (art, music, physical education, library, and technology), and family involvement opportunities.

We’ll close with time for final questions and information on how to enroll.
